#Ituri : la communauté #Nande à travers l'association culturelle Kyaghanda Yira tire la sonnette d’alarme face à une recrudescence des menaces et actes de stigmatisation visant ses membres. Dans une déclaration rendue publique ce 13 juin 2026, elle appelle les autorités à garantir leur sécurité et le respect de leurs droits.
1. Plus de 70 membres de la communauté ont été tués depuis le mois de mars.
2. Des accusations infondées les désignent comme étant à l’origine de la maladie qui frappe actuellement la région.
3. Des restrictions leur seraient imposées pour exercer leurs activités commerciales à Mongbwalu, Pluto, Barrière Mabanga et dans la ville de Bunia.
4. Des menaces de mort seraient proférées contre ceux qui refusent d’obéir à ces injonctions et qui continuent à vivre dans la zone.
5. La communauté demande aux autorités d’assurer sa protection, d’ouvrir des enquêtes sur les auteurs des menaces et de renforcer les actions de sensibilisation contre les discours de haine et la stigmatisation.
