NEWS ALERT: I have just personally reached out to some NWC members of the main opposition ADC to notify them of the hush hush unfathomable crisis brewing within the party in Rivers State, the home turf of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as well as the seemingly unpopularity of Amaechi in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, and Rivers States.
The Ijaw Nation in Rivers State are alleging that Amaechi imposed his man, Gabriel Pidomson, on the party at the ADC guber primaries instead of their Ijaw kinsman, Farah Dagogo.
Recall that Pidomson was declared the winner by the ADC Primary Election Committee Chairman, Carol Obaro Uloho, after polling 112,086 votes in a primary held on May 22, 2026, across all 23 local government areas.
On the other hand, Ijaw-born Farah Dagogo self-declared the winner following a parallel process conducted on May 23, 2026, claiming to have received 64,700 votes more than his closest rival, Sokonte Davies.
Another aspirant, Allen Ezekiel-Hart, rejected the entire exercise, alleging it was a "shambolic charade" orchestrated by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi to impose a preferred candidate, and also declared himself the winner.
While the ADC State Chairman, Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa has dismissed these allegations of manipulation and imposition, the ijaw nation which has at least 35% of the voting block within Rivers State are threatening fire and brimstone on punishing the ADC with protest votes in 2027.
We need to tinker Amaechi as propsective VP nominee. I am told that the press statement announcing Amaechi is not casted on rocks. Events of the coming days shall tell.
It must be stated now before it's too late to navigate in such a calamitous whirlwind that Amaechi may be contributing little or nothing to the Atiku Abubakar/ADC-led ticket come Saturday, January 16, 2027.
In 2015, as APC's candidate Muhammadu Buhari's Presidential Campaign Director-General and sitting Governor of Rivers State, Amaechi, only brought a paltry 69,238 votes to Buhari and the APC ticket, whereas as Guber candidate, Nyerechi
@GovWike brought a whopping 1.4million votes to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the PDP.
Fast forward to 2019, when the APC were in power, again as Campaign DG to Buhari, when Buhari came to Rivers State to campaign, the boisterous, pompous, abrasive, rash, bombastic, and combative Amaechi sang Ikwerre war songs, thumped his chest multiple times, and thundered: "Mr. President, Mr. President, leave Nyesom Wike for me. On Saturday, on Saturday, on Saturday, Mr. President, I promise to deliver Rivers State to you and the APC. Nyesom Wike is my boy, I will handle his madness."
On election day, Amaechi could again only muster a paltry 150,710 votes for Buhari, while Nyerechi Nyesom Wike delivered a whopping 473,971 votes for His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.
We shall continue to be the eyes, noses, and ears of the party to avoid calamitous mistakes in 2027.
