The neomorph ends up dying in the middle of the movie and gets replaced with the protomorph whose one of the first instances of the Xenomorph we know today with what David was researching, Prometheus did this too with the similar creatures to the facehugger and chestburster

I still can't get over how uncanny and eerie it is to see a Xenomorph in broad daylight like that. Like I know the protomorph did that in Convenant but the lush and bright background with its saturated brown exoskeleton makes it look so... wrong (in a cool way I think)

really tough question but i think ive started gravitating towards the Protomorph more and more? doesn’t get that much screentime but i think it does a spectacular job of making the xenomorph fresh and scary again

god this movie still goes so hard. i think i prefer Prometheus' cast but Michael Fassbender is still such a good actor and the scenes in this movie are so well made. love the way the Protomorph is animated and shot. i think might still give it a ten, it's just impeccable.

I'm pretty sure there's an actual meaning behind the name, I just forgot it, and since I consider the protomorph to be David's xenomorph oc, and not like a precursor to the actual xeno, I prefer the name preata

Alien covenant as bad as the film may have been portrayed the protomorph perfectly as an apex predator, alien Romulus I loved and the Xenomorph was smart and acted as a hunter etc(kinda fodder tho) and last alien earth...I'm really struggling on accepting this as canon...
