On the 23rd March 6 years ago, my working life changed completely with the arrival of Covid.
The lockdown meant I could no longer record my voice overs in a studio in town, so my husband had the brilliant idea to transform a little cupboard in our loft, where we stored suitcases and bits ‘n’ bobs, into a glorious recording studio, a task he took on himself.
In it, I have recorded hundreds of commercials and promos, narrated documentaries, tv shows, animations, audio books and video games.
Thanks to the wonderful of technology, I’ve been able to record, live, down the phone line from Finchley to studios in Chiswick, Amsterdam, Poland, New York and beyond.
This tiny booth was also where my kids started their voice overs careers, aged 9 and 10.
Now 15 and 16, they have recorded many commercials, short films, feature films and audio books and my son completed 4 years as Thomas The Tank Engine for All Engines Go.
It’s been quite the learning curve technically speaking, but it’s means I have been able to continue doing the job I love so much.
Endlessly grateful to

@YaketyYakVoices for being the best in the biz ♥️
