Damn I love Splitgate devs but this does not look like a finished product, movement is way too slow, no sense of inertia and everything looks so floaty. the aesthetic is so generic, sound design for the gun used in this clip sounds bad. This is my first impression of this game so maybe it’ll grow on me but this looks DOA to me

This isn’t them copying marathon. Splitgate also looks like this. The team has an art style that they seem to like and stick with.

Empulse looks interesting and I always fall for movement shooters. But after the Splitgate stuff it is going to be a tough sell. At least I can check it out for free tomorrow. #Empulse
