✨ Day One: Building Peace, Strengthening Resilience
Yesterday in Kaduna, the SPRiNG project through Global Rights (in partnership with CERSDOV) convened Community Dialogue Committees (CDCs) for an enriching first day of capacity building on dialogue, peacebuilding, non-punitive responses, and early warning approaches.
From powerful experience-sharing by community leaders, to thought-provoking documentaries like Gangs of Naija in the Northwest, sessions highlighted the critical role of CDCs in promoting peace, security, and women’s inclusion. Experts led discussions on situating women in peacebuilding, community-level early warning strategies, and the innovative use of the EWRC app to strengthen responses.
With voices from grassroots leaders, gender advocates, and peacebuilding experts, Day One affirmed that when communities are equipped and included, resilience against violence grows stronger.
Today, we continue with deeper conversations on communication, trust-building, and practical conflict mitigation skills.
