Deze tweede voorspelling komt ook uit: nu alle data beschikbaar zijn en blijkt dat de VRT wel degelijk onwelgevallige (en statistisch significante) data over herkomst achterhield, verliezen onze "progressieve" media onmiddellijk hun interesse. @DeStandaard weigert mijn inzending die hun berichtgeving rechtzet, @DeMorgen weigert mijn repliek op @PLoobuyck (die mijn interventie "kwalijk" noemde).
Dus dan maar naar @DoorbraakBE gestuurd. Terwijl ik juist de klassieke media wilde bereiken die teveel vertrouwen toonden in de VRT en voorbaige conclusies trokken (Pas op, ik beweer niét dat er bewust bedrog was vanwege VRT, het is veel subtieler: substacktools.com/sharex/A9q…)
Ik probéér onze kwaliteitsmedia echt ernstig te nemen hoor, maar ze maken het mij niet makkelijk. Eerst alles breed uitsmeren en analyses brengen over de snode "rechtse" aanvallen op VRT (zoals @jfabbeloos in De Standaard), maar zodra het niet meer in hun ideologische kraam past, haken ze plots af en klinkt het: "Pff, dat is toch oud nieuws, daar zijn we niet meer mee bezig hoor."

En nu gaan de media er het zwijgen toe doen natuurlijk, zeker @destandaard. Ze hebben inmiddels al "brandhout" gemaakt van data die ze niet eens gezien hebben, blind vertrouwend op de staatszender. Nu blijkt dat de VRT wel degelijk onwelgevallige data over (islamitische en oost-europese) herkomst wegmoffelde, klinkt het plots: "Pff, ben je daar nog altijd mee bezig? Niets beters te doen?" Of zelfs: "Dat wisten we toch al lang over de islam, who cares?"
