Tbh I thought it was a bit much when they changed like two weapons to not have numbers in completely different segments of the statblock that formed a Nazi number if you glued the status chance to the mag size or something. I'm glad they stuck to their guns with Jade Shadows.

Finally done with my statblock for tonight Forgot to add 1-2 legendary resistances as I will use at least 1 to give him resistance to one attack or gain temp HP, Heal a hit die. But he'll have up to 2 clones he can make by sacrificing 26 HP. Based off a Devil Jurist

The bottom one's had its design taken for a fan-made D&D monster of some infamy called the False Hydra. I can only imagine the realistic version is going to see it come back for 5.5/2024 D&D with a revised statblock and new, realistic art.

see this? post your knight. ironically, Todd is the very first time I'm actually get a full-plate and it's from statblock transfer and not actual gameplay, and the fact that he's basically invert of Angela.
See a knight, post a knight! While not Earth-historically accurate, I do believe a Faerunian paladin certainly counts ☺️

Wizards of the Coast just revealed the official D&D statblock for Cthulhu in upcoming Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. CR 25 Darklord with Impossible Geometry that warps, teleports foes, and floods Innsmouth with cosmic dread. Does it do justice to the Great Old One?

If you add some way to differentiate the monsters lore from the game mechanics, then I think its going in the right direction. Id only add that it might be cool to have the lore and statblock all on one page, but that might be too restrictive for what you’re going for.

Reminds me of that DnD short from youtube, they finish a session, get a level up, DM goes "that was great, let me just check the guy's statblock", Dm has a shocked look and tells them that they are getting another 3 levels on top for a total of 4 levels.

not matter that the same human body could theoretically survive getting thrown by a tornado. life happens moment-to-moment, not based off of a statblock.

Because why enjoy yourself going through the creative exercise of homebrewing whatever gonzo concept you have into a statblock when you can just fork over what, $40, $50, $60? How much are the sourcebooks going for?

The cold hard truth of the matter is that most people think of any intangible quality as part of a statblock, and to take it further they think any two of those statblocks put together immediately form a binary relationship
Marvel treats "Intelligence" like it's power levels in DBZ and has never managed to make any of their characters feel actually intelligent beyond them just materializing whatever tech they need.

Hahaha oh man, this reminds me of the old dnd 3.5 cat statblock that, on a regular basis, won out against a commoner statblock when pitted against each other :D
