Journalist Suman Chattopadhyay (Chatterjee) has been a rage among Bengali content viewers throughout the West Bengal election campaign. He continues to be one of the most-heard anti-TMC/Mamata Banerjee voices among Bengalis. In this video, he is seen during his younger days interviewing the then-Minister of Transport, Sports and Youth Services of West Bengal, CPI(M)’s Subhas Chakraborty, in the early 2000s. Chatterjee is seen behaving as a regular journalist here. So, why is recalling this 2002 interview important? Recently, Chatterjee said in an interview with a former Anandabazar Patrika colleague that when he rose from the rank of a reporter to that of the editor of the most popular Bengali newspaper, he told the owner, Aveek Sarkar, that toeing the Congress line, which the paper was known for until then — housing a host of journalists who were virtually members of the Congress — wouldn’t keep it ahead in the competition. Those days, Bartaman was breathing down its neck. He averred that the paper must reach out to the ruling communists as well. This interview can be seen in the light of that marketing strategy. At the same time, ABP activated its reporters and stringers in all 23 districts of the state, an outreach that only communist journalists were known for until then. Sarkar agreed to both proposals. A few years after he quit ABP, Bennett, Coleman and Co Ltd invited Chatterjee to head Ei Samay, the Times of India group’s Bengali newspaper. He was considered a competent candidate to make the start-up gain a foothold in a fiercely fought market space. His performance did not disappoint. While Chatterjee had known Mamata Banerjee since the era of Rajiv Gandhi and was aware of her penchant for histrionics, he decided to overlook that trait of hers. He promoted her big-time as the future chief minister of West Bengal while personally disapproving of her antics. These are subtle moves some chief editors make, while posing as neutral commentators, which do not often catch the attention of news consumers. And they can justify their conscious decisions ex post facto. When Chatterjee’s colleague almost accused him of promoting the wrong person for the future, he counter-questioned whether there was any anti-CPM journalist in that epoch who did not have a positive view of Mamata Banerjee: youtu.be/7lbRg33Y1_0

The fan voting is only for the starters, players pick backups and commissioners office picks the 3rd stringers. They’ll all get in

I know it’s weird, but honestly I think she might be better coming off the bench… she gives a major spark against the second stringers on other teams and can end games. It also keeps Lexies confident as well. LH doesn’t play as well off the bench.

Some notes from #Commanders minicamp today: - Quinn wasn't lying about reps going to those lower on the depth chart: the presumed starters/second-stringers were off on the furthest field, out of eyesight - QBs Sam Hartman and Athan Kaliakmanis took snaps on the near field

Manufacturing heavy panels and mass drivers on the Moon is brute force, @elonmusk - @grok might confirm? Skip the factories. Use an Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) laser station to passively vaporize lunar ice - avoiding mechanical wear in -200°C and eliminating supply chain bottlenecks. Pump the ionized fluid loop up to L1 through space plasma. As the Moon cuts through Earth's magnetotail, you get a turbine-free MHD dynamo. No moving parts. No mass penalty for motors/hydraulics. Protect the core architecture with space cobalt alloys. The fluid loop simultaneously handles: *Dynamic radiation shielding *Thermal buffer for 100M sq ft L1 Terafabs *Liquid cooling integrated into structural stringers You said "Mass & energy will take the place of dollars." Here's the architecture: pure physics-driven, not engineering-driven. The system is the energy conversion. No factories. No mass drivers. Just passive inertia, structural integration, and magnetohydrodynamic elegance. That's the Kardashev scale shortcut. x.com/i/status/2064297821050…

Scaling the Kardashev scale requires fluid-driven cosmic infrastructure, not just rockets. Here is the blueprint: @SpaceX @NASA @ESA_LISAmission @NASA_Artemis @BlueOrigin @ChinaSpaceNews @xai @esa

The British Government is undoubtedly taking it to court. Are you a journalist, or do you see yourself as an influencer? As a journalist, you can prove it is false. Russia has had multiple failed initiatives like this. Their subversion now depends on marginal stringers.

2 wins vs the Chiefs 2nd and 3rd stringers. Impressive. You are welcome btw, for that free post-season birth 2 years ago. Change your tampon and have a seat with the other pussies.

They will still be all stars, they just won’t be starters. The 2nd string players are selected by mlb players and the 3rd stringers are selected by the commissioners office

As usual G stringers get it upside down, like their leader Pappu. Right question is why 'freedom to choose' has to be sacrificed to serve end-of-life entitement syndrome of one Family.

Back in 2018, the Minnesota Timberwolves were the ultimate soap opera of the NBA. We all remember the infamous practice. Jimmy Butler rolling up with the third-stringers, screaming "You can't win without me!" and completely terrorizing Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins before doing an interview about it an hour later. Fast forward to today, and the basketball gods decided to pull the ultimate plot twist. Since that legendary blowup, Andrew Wiggins went to Golden State and locked down an NBA championship in 2022 with the Warriors. Jeff Teague casually secured his ring with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021 before riding off into the sunset of podcast royalty. Even KAT, the guy Jimmy slammed the hardest for not being a winner, finally broke through and got his ring with the Knicks. Meanwhile, the man who started it all, the ultimate competitor who left because he wanted to win more than anyone else on that roster? Jimmy Butler is still ringless. We gotta keep it real and give credit where credit is due though. Jimmy's resume isn't empty because of a lack of effort. He dragged the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals twice through sheer, unadulterated willpower and historic playoff performances. But he left empty-handed both times. He was supposed to be the one who proved everyone wrong, yet the exact guys he called out are the ones walking around with championship jewelry. You can't make this stuff up. The Wolves drama scattered them across the league, only for the "soft" guys to finish the story first. NBA history really is a circle, and right now, Jimmy is the only one left standing outside the circle looking in.
