Day 3 of the @UKStrokeForum.
Today we've attended inspiring talks on managing dysphagia, post stroke pneumonia and women's health in stroke.
(We're joined by our lovely Stroke colleague OT Kirsty for this final selfie).

Patients, visitors and staff all taking part in the Rehab Olympics arranged and facilitated by our amazing AHP team - @BuryCO_NHS @strokeAHPs@FGH_SLT_NCA
Great work bringing some of the Olympic excitement and fun to our wards!
We supported the stroke rehab creative arts group today where patients were able to mould and print clay - a great way to support patient’s functional communication skills, receptive language and cognition in line with their goals!
#strokerehab@strokeAHPs@NCAlliance_NHS
Thank you to all our colleagues @FGH_SLT_NCA who are supporting this important work to improve treatment for #stroke survivors, it's great to see so many of our @strokeahps involved in research
Tomorrow we also have some training booked with @PhEAST_Trial to train some of the SLT team in the delivery of pharyngeal stimulation for post-stroke dysphagia. We're hoping we can increase the amount of patients we can recruit to the rehabilitation trial using our 7 day service!
Come join our wonderful MDT - we work very closely with the OT staff on our acute and rehab wards. There's so much opportunity to develop your skills and support an ever evolving team and practice. Take a look at our page and @strokeAHPs for an idea of what we get up to!
Occupational therapist Claire shares what's involved in her role working on the Acute Stroke Ward at Fairfield General Hospital. 💚
A big thank you to @NCACareersNHS for letting us share this!

Some of the stroke team are back today for further training on ACT therapy. Looking forward to learning more practical skills and thinking about how patient's values can be used to support them on their rehab journey
