We asked our community of foodies on @TeamFuloZim to choose between the original SPUDS packaging and the newer redesign. The original packaging emerged as the clear favourite.

The farm and potato field imagery communicates freshness, quality, and natural ingredients.

The traditional khaki design was described as familiar, local, and proudly Zimbabwean.
Key Insight:
While some consumers appreciated the new packaging for making flavours easier to identify, many felt it looked more generic and processed, losing some of the authenticity and emotional connection associated with the original SPUDS brand.

Farewell, H.E Pete Vowles @PeteVowles.
When people think of diplomats, they often picture suits, meetings, and formal speeches.
Then there was Pete.
A man who wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves, head to the market, gather ingredients, light a fire, and throw himself fully into the Team Fulo Cook-Off experience. ๐
What made it even more memorable was that his enthusiasm was infectious. Before long, other ambassadors and diplomats were doing the same, embracing the spirit of the event and immersing themselves in the local culture.
Pete never participated from the sidelines. Whatever he was involved in, he gave it his full attention, energy, and good humour.
As he embarks on his next chapter together with his lovely wife Hannah, @hannahrmvowles we thank him for the friendship, support, and the many memorable moments shared with Team Fulo.
We wish you both every success, happiness, and adventure in the journey ahead.
You will always be part of the Team Fulo family.

Sad to say that my time in ๐ฟ๐ผ is coming to an end. ๐ข
So many amazing memories over 8 years , spanning 4 decades, as a teacher, an NGO worker, a tourist and recently as British Ambassador.
Allow me to use each of my last days here to reflect and say thank youโฆ.

Thank you for your friendship.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for the respect and affection you showed our people.
And thank you for reminding us that diplomacy can be human, authentic and deeply personal.
On behalf of Team Fulo, and I and I suspect many Zimbabweans whose lives you touched over the years, know that you will be greatly missed.
