Meet Thermonator: a quadruped robot dog that breathes fire. Developed by Ohio-based Throwflame, this four-legged inferno machine just became available to the public for $9,420.
It’s got a gas or napalm-powered ARC flamethrower on its back, shoots flames up to 30 feet, and can be remote-controlled via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It’s also packing lidar for obstacle detection, a laser sight for accuracy, and a camera for first-person view navigation.
Under the hood, it uses the Unitree Go2 robot platform, which on its own costs just $1,600. Flame-throwing robot pets are officially a thing now.
