We use that article in Portuguese: "pelo qual". The other Romance languages too.

Ex.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Becket (written 1870s, pub. 1884): “He holp the King to break down our castles, for the which I hate him.”

Thank you for the reference, I didn't know that. English is just my third or fourth language. It's a pity though that the page you pointed me to has no example sentences. (Of course non-natives would never speak any language like a native. How many languages do you speak?)
