ECOWAS, EUROPEAN UNION AND GIZ REVIEW TRADE IN SERVICES PROGRAMME LOGICAL FRAMEWORK TO STRENGTHEN REGIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
The ECOWAS Commission, in collaboration with the European Union (EU) and German Cooperation through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), convened a Technical Workshop on the Review of the Trade in Services Programme (TiSP) Logical Framework in Abuja, Nigeria, on Friday, 5th June 2026.
The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the implementation of regional inte-gration priorities across West Africa and ensure that the Trade in Services Programme remains responsive to evolving regional and global trade dynamics.
The Trade in Services Programme plays a strategic role in strengthening governance in the ser-vices sector, enhancing regional competitiveness, and supporting the implementation of com-mitments under the ECOWAS Trade Liberalisation Agenda. As the regional and international trade environment continues to evolve, the review seeks to align the programme with current implementation realities and emerging regional development priorities.
