L.A. has been through a tough time because of the fires, but in the immortal words of @bertsesame, @Grover and @oscarthegrouch: we can get through this together. The @sesamestreet family stopped by The Times to chat with @nickducassi about “big feelings” and the latest season!

the muppets are meant to be an omnipresent part of pop culture. they are celebrities, not characters. miss piggy should have a late night show. kermit should host the oscars. gonzo should be on tiktok. why is this so hard to understand

20 years ago, my first job at the CBC (even before The Hour) was to rep an icon for the series The Greatest Canadian. Over a million votes were cast with 10 finalists including Terry Fox, David Suzuki, Frederick Banting and Don Cherry.  I was advocating for the man known as the father of medicare in this country (and Keifer Sutherland’s granddad) — the legendary Tommy Douglas. (spoiler alert: he won, and so did Canada)
