The same happened with us as well. Due to a policy violation issue on one app we lost bfs on all apps. (still frustrated with whatโ€™s deemed โ€˜policy violationโ€™ but thatโ€™s a story for another day I suppose). We fixed the issue instantly yet penalized at partner level. It makes no sense to have different partner accounts for different apps and manage reporting and finances separately. If the partner is willing to fix issues and cooperative throughout the process why would you penalize all the apps when each app undergoes individual bfs review. Need to relook at governance policies for partners with multiple apps. @tobi @harleyf
Update: we lost all our badges on Oct 12th because of a Subscriptions app vulnerability issue that surfaced on Oct 7th (which we fixed in less than 4 hours during night time after getting notified). Apparently, if your one app is exposed, you lose all of your apps' BFS status (with a week's delay for some reason). How does it make sense? We're punished on a partner level, not app level, and the governance team says we can only get BFS back from Dec 12th. Which would result in ruined Q4, the most sensitive time of the year in ecom. If this is not resolved with a common sense, we will be forced to open new business entities for each app and separate partner accounts in order to avoid such situation in the future. ๐Ÿฅฒ It sounds crazy, requires a lot of resources and would create huge complexity overall but we can't have such risk of losing all BFS badges only because of an issue on a single app. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ It seems like governance team is acting according to a strict rulebook (which makes sense) but that rulebook doesn't cover such cases and it results in extreme unfairness. I really hope Shopify will be helpful in this case. Partners who have multiple apps should be aware of this.

In 2007, Steve Jobs stood on a stage and introduced the iPhone. It changed the world. But hidden behind that moment was a chip: etched, assembled, and tested in clean rooms and quiet factories half a world away. Now, India wants to be part of that story. Look around you.

Because itโ€™s: Faster to build.Cheaper to operate. And a bridge to something greater. ATMP is not the goal. Itโ€™s the launchpad. In a few years, youโ€™ll pick up your phone which has a chip that was touched by Indian hands. Packaged in our facility. Tested by an Indian engineer.

You wonโ€™t see it. But the future of Indiaโ€™s tech story might just lie in that invisible detail.

So if you are an aspiring manufacturing entrepreneur, following imports is critical. Every container ship docking in Mumbai carries not just goods but possibilities. You could be the one to turn imported circuits into smartphones or raw chemicals into life-saving drugs.
