When ICE takes you from your kids and throws you in a cage to deport you, "is this detention center privately owned?" is... not the main issue.
"End detention now" means closing ALL of the detention centers, private or not.

43 Cameroonians are on a hunger strike now at the Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center in Louisiana. They are demanding an end to biased and illegal efforts by DHS and immigration judge Scott Laragy to get them deported, and managed to send out a handwritten letter of appeal:
