Day 3 of the New Commissioners’ Orientation Programme commenced with a reflective session facilitated by Hilda B. Modisane, Executive Secretary of ECF-SADC.
Participants shared the values and goals that guide their leadership, highlighting transparency, trust-building, independent Electoral Management Bodies, respect for stakeholders, and the importance of maintaining professional conduct.
They also emphasized leadership grounded in integrity as a cornerstone of credible, inclusive, and democratic electoral processes.

This year's Women Constitution-Makers' Dialogue brought together judges, lawyers, advocates and researchers from Bangladesh, Ghana and Syria to ask a simple question: what does it actually take to make constitutional commitments real?

Peter Wolf, Principal Adviser, Elections and Digitalization @Int_IDEA facilitated an engaging session on key voter registration principles at the 13th NCO Programme. Commissioners from across SADC shared experiences, highlighting the strengths and challenges of voter registration systems, including issues of inclusivity, accuracy, data protection, diaspora voting, and prisoner registration. The session fostered valuable peer learning.
