It is very comforting for us to remember that God, who can do all things, is for us. He is on our side. We all have enemies—those who disapprove, those who judge, criticize, betray, and hurt us. In addition, the devil is against us, and it is he who works through the people who hurt us. But God is for us! This means that in order for something or someone to defeat us, they would have to defeat God first. Find strength in the fact that God is with you and that He loves you unconditionally. Take courage in knowing that He is on your side, always fighting for you. The psalmist says, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6 esv). Today, if you are hurting or dealing with a disappointment, I understand how you feel. If you have been waiting a long time for your breakthrough and it has not come yet, I also know how you feel. But even better, God knows how you feel, and He wants you to remember that His timing is perfect in your life. There are good things in your future.

So many people have the mind-set that they will be really happy and enjoy life when. When they go on vacation, when the kids are older, when they get higher on the ladder of success at work, when they get married—the list could go on and on. I can relate to this because there was a time when even though I really loved being in the ministry, I wasn’t enjoying the daily responsibilities and activities it involved. I had to learn to live in the moment and enjoy what God was doing in me and through me now, not when the conference was over or when I could go on vacation. I really want you to get this: God wants you to enjoy your life now, not when. You may be having a tough day, but don’t wait until another day to find some joy. Look for something good in each day.

In 2025, a church and fresh water well were built in Tsholotsho’s Lucu Village in Zimbabwe. School children also receive meals at this church from our Hope Factory. “We love our church. Since this building was put up, we as a community are really enjoying coming together and worshipping God. We are really excited because we are already starting to see a transformation in our young people. One of the biggest challenges we’re experiencing is the use of drugs, consumption of alcohol in our young people. Since we started gathering together, we have seen kids losing interest in those things because the church is providing activities that take their minds away from those things. We are also excited for the little ones because at the same place we worship is where they get their food. For those that are helping us—thank you, thank you, thank you so much. God cares about everything that concerns you, and He wants to personally take care of you. Don't make yourself miserable worrying about things that God wants you to release to Him. When we are anxious today about what may happen tomorrow, or things that happened yesterday, we waste the day God has graciously given us. The next time you are tempted to get anxious or upset about something—especially about something in the past or the future—think about something God has done for you lately and choose to be grateful. Learn from God's goodness in your past and prepare for your future, but live in the present, remembering that no matter what happens, He always loves you and wants what is best for you.
