Yesterday @DefraGovUK's Secondary Legislation for a #DepositReturnScheme received the overwhelming support of MPs in parliament and we are now one step closer to a litter-free future!

The numbers are in. Throughout 2024, #LitterHeroes have been logging their litter picks on our Collect and Count tool. A huge 156,097 bags of litter have been reported – and this is just a fraction of the work carried out by incredible volunteers across the country.💚
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on #LitterHeroes Ambassador Phil Craig.
From solo-litter picking since 2018 to forming a monthly group with the Goosecroft Centre in 2020, Phil has been working hard to keep his community clean and green.

ALT During the lockdown in 2020, Phil decided to grow out his hair, and used it as an opportunity to raise money for charity, earning himself the nickname ‘Litter Afro’ in the process. He ended up raising nearly £2,000!
