What @SenMarkKelly and those members of Congress did is the political equivalent of yelling “fire” in a crowded theater when there is no fire. It’s reckless, it creates panic, it undermines trust, and it puts good men and women in uniform in harm’s way. Accountability should cut both ways — I’d expect the same if I ever followed an unlawful order.

This is catastrophic. Democrats are trying to sow doubt in the one group that cannot operate with doubt — our men and women in uniform. They can’t point to a single unlawful order. It’s another manufactured narrative that puts our service members at risk.
