"After snorting 50 mg. I am in the movie Dune, but it's the 1984 version. Why am I in a film that was universally panned?" What does ketamine feel like? I kept a diary of my six treatments. wapo.st/3IRnP90

Happy a great time watching #tonywards, every "featured" actor is an actor who is the engine that powers the play. Love all of them, but- I particularly thought #MarjoriePrime was an important play and no one better than this guy #dannyburstein, most nominated actor in history. Just saying -come on- Tonys!

We have a step-and-repeat at our poll station in Los Angeles! Hollywood is voting! When people ask me what's the most important thing I can do for my health? Vote is the answer I give. Vote for candidates who support investment in science, so you might not want to vote for that guy in Los Angeles who sells "healing crystals." Rhymes with Splatt. #vote #healthcare

Jeremy and I spent time with Senator @SenAdamSchiff at a gathering with Volunteer Collective, Los Angeles, founded by Rhino Records legend Richard Foos and Shari Foos. Adam reminded us that the best way to ensure that this time in which our democracy is threatened is shorter is to stay engaged. Donโ€™t get overwhelmed, he reminded us, focus on one issue. Mine is healthcare, whatโ€™s yours? Volunteer Collective puts you together with volunteer opportunities that near where you're located, making it more likely that you can participate. Such a great and needed organization.

While you were at @ASCO, we celebrated @DrRaviSalgia @CancerSupportHQ. All of his patients, myself included, know we all are treated with the same kindness, empathetic compassion, intelligence and wit in his care. Always a great band reference or Greek myth to go along with shared decision making. @IASLC @cityofhope

great company to be in: thrilled to be featured in this conversation: Three women tell deeply personal stories in audiobooks that gain even more force through performance. Michele Cobb joins host Jo Reed to discuss ๐˜ผ ๐™ƒ๐™ฎ๐™ข๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™‡๐™ž๐™›๐™š by Gisรจle Pelicot, who discovered that her husband had drugged her and arranged to have dozens of men assault her over the course of many years. The book recounts her life, the trial, and the reckoning that followed, all narrated by Emma Thompson with remarkable restraint and empathy. Next comes a discussion of ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™€๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™ˆ๐™ฎ ๐™‡๐™ž๐™›๐™š ๐™„๐™จ ๐™†๐™ž๐™ก๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ˆ๐™š by Annabelle Gurwitch, read by the author with warmth, comic timing, and mischievous candor as she navigates stage 4 lung cancer and divorce. Finally, they discuss ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช ๐™’๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™Ž๐™–๐™™ ๐™€๐™ฎ๐™š๐™จ, written and read by actor Christina Applegate, who reflects on childhood trauma, fame, cancer, and living with multiple sclerosis; her unguarded narrationโ€”complete with journal entries, laughter, and tearful momentsโ€”gives the book unusual emotional immediacy. These memoirs donโ€™t offer neat resolutions, but they do reveal the special intimacy that happens when difficult stories are spoken aloud. . Follow @KirkusAudiobookReviews for more audiobook recommendations! @IASLC .Looking for break during @ASCO tune in!

Thanks, will do, reading glasses, glass of chilled something, will try not to leave reading glasses in fridge.
As summer begins, I got two books to recommend to the readers out there. One is Men Like Ours by my brilliant former student @bindubansinath. The other is A Tender Age by my mentor Chang-rae Lee, forthcoming in August. Get those reading glasses and a glass of something chilled!
