Deuce’s journey has been a source of pride for the entire Moeller family. His relentless work ethic, toughness, humility, and team-first mentality have helped him reach the pinnacle of the sport as an NBA Champion. With this achievement, Deuce becomes just the fifth Greater Cincinnati athlete to earn an NBA Championship ring, adding his name to an exclusive list of local basketball legends. Before this afternoon’s State Championship game against St. Xavier, we deliver a special message to the Moeller baseball team from legendary coach Gerry Faust. Coach Faust passed away in 2024, but his words, his passion, and his unwavering belief in the Men of Moeller continue to inspire generations of Crusaders. His message reminds our players that wearing the Blue and Gold is about something bigger than baseball. It’s about faith and brotherhood, and representing everyone who came before them. Today, as these young men take the field, they carry with them the support of an entire Moeller family — including a coach whose impact can still be felt in every corner of this community. The game will be played seven innings on the scoreboard, but the lessons Coach Faust taught about heart, sacrifice, and believing in one another last a lifetime. Play for each other. Moeller will face St. Xavier tomorrow at 4pm at 7 17 Credit Union Park for the State Championship. It will be the 151st edition of the crosstown rivalry, and their first postseason matchup since the 2013 Sectional Final. Moeller leads the all time series 95-55.
