We just watched the Knicks make the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history! The first and second half were two completely different stories - the Spurs dominated in the first half and Knicks stormed back in the second. Jalen Brunson put the team on his back with his 36-point performance, but OG Anunoby was the true hero tonight, finishing with 33 points AND the game-winning tip in! De’Aaron Fox made a huge mistake when he got the ball with seconds left in the fourth and decided to go for a layup instead of dribbling the ball out to be fouled. I think the Spurs have another win in them and the Series will stretch out to 6 or 7 games, but I still see the Knicks winning it all.

Two big plays sealed the victory for the Spurs: Castle’s 3-pointer and Fox’s step back jumper! Tonight was a masterful coaching job by Spurs Head Coach Mitch Johnson. He deserves a lot of credit for instilling such confidence in his team to get this win on the road!

I was in awe of Victor Wembanyama’s performance tonight - not only did he score 32 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, he also became the 2nd youngest player to have 30, 5 and 5 in the victory over the Knicks on their home court (behind some kid who played for the Lakers) 😂 The entire Spurs team deserves a lot of credit for believing they could win and coming out and executing their game plan. They couldn’t have won without help from Castle, who stepped up tonight with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists - and four other Spurs ended in double figures: Harper scored 13 points, Champagnie and Fox had 12 points, and Vassell finished with 11.

Cookie and I are praying for the families of four great men who recently passed away: NBA legend Stacey King, NBA Coach Rick Adelman, R&B superstar Peabo Bryson, and NFL Coach and former MSU Spartan Sherman Lewis 🙏🏾

Victor Wembanyama played a spectacular game tonight with 29 points and 9 rebounds, but his turnover in the closing seconds proved too costly for the Spurs to get the win. Karl-Anthony Towns was impressive on both ends of the floor, dominating the first half and making nothing easy for Wembanyama defensively, finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds. That 3rd quarter told the whole story for the Knicks. With Towns and Brunson on the bench, Mikal Bridges and Landry Shamet stepped up and secured the lead heading into the 4th. The Spurs made a strong push late but Brunson delivered the clutch shot and free throws when the Knicks needed them most. Tonight belonged to everyone in the Knicks’ locker room - it was a complete team victory!

What a very very entertaining Game One! Jalen Brunson was too much to handle for the Spurs tonight, scoring 13 of his 30 points in the 4th quarter! It was a great coaching move by New York Knicks Head Coach Mike Brown to put Landry Shamet on the floor in the 4th quarter. His 3-point shooting ability gave Brunson more room to operate. Josh Hart played with heart tonight, leading both teams in rebounding with 15 boards, 4 big steals and 6 assists! The Spurs just played too much isolation basketball in the 4th quarter, and it was a key reason they lost.

What team will be affected the most? The Knicks because of their 8 days off, or the Spurs only having 3 days off after a grueling 7 game Series before Game 1? This is set to be one of the most watched NBA Finals because both teams peaked at the right time and got hot in the Playoffs!

And for the Knicks, I’m wondering who’s going to guard Victor Wembanyama. They won’t have as easy of a time on offense due to the much better defensive ability of the Spurs compared to their previous matchups against the Hawks, 76ers, and Cavaliers.

Victor Wembanyama dominated the paint on defense during the Series against OKC while playing in a zone, but that won’t work against the Knicks given the 3-point shooting ability of Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby.

My Los Angeles Sparks get their 3rd straight road victory tonight over the Washington Mystics 92-87! They were led by Erica Wheeler who scored 14 of her 21 points in the 4th quarter, Nneka Ogwumike finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Cameron Brink continued her excellent play with 16 points, and Dearica Hamby scored 14 points.

Game 6 of the San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder was total domination by the Spurs in every area - defense, offense, rebounds, intensity, and physicality! The new face of the NBA, superstar Victor Wembanyama, delivered tonight with 28 points and 10 rebounds and set the tone with aggressive play on both ends of the floor. Their 20-0 run in the 3rd quarter is something you don’t see often, and the Thunder couldn’t respond to stop the blowout. This series has definitely made a massive impact on the NBA worldwide!
