In Japan I was what people now call a “tradwife” for about 9 years.
I was trained by my grandma-in law how to do everything the Japanese way (I didn’t know any way at first)
I wore an apron, I had a daily chore routine of sweeping, laundry, scrubbing the ofuro bath and toilet, putting futon outside and beating it, washing and hanging laundry, made bento every day, etc.
I took my kids to jidoukan to play (public kids place? Idk now to explain it..) and the library, the park, and went to the grocery store everyday to buy food for the day (I went to multiple because different stores had different prices)
I was fortunate enough to raise my kids with very little outside influence for all of those years. I taught them English myself.
I was in PTA at 2 different schools and HOA as well.
I played very little video games from 2009-2017. Once my kids got bigger I did play super Famicom and snes with them.
I also didn’t watch any American tv shows during that time (except breaking bad 2 years after it came out. I rented the dvds at tsutaya). I mostly only watched YouTube and
Justin.tv live streams of old cartoons.
