Such a great animated short, and embarrassingly relevant again on a number of levels. I remember thinking of it immediately while watching #InsideOut in theaters. Definitely recommend fans of the Pixar film revisit this short!

Couldn't agree more--
Whatever style you do whatever content you bring.. there is something about learning the craft of classical hand drawn animation that you can’t deny- the amount of drawings that gets tossed because ..”the performance is off”.. is a trial by fire that makes you a better artist*

After watching (and rewatching) LIGHT AND MAGIC I have such a duplicitous reaction. I am equal parts inspired by what a scrappy group did, and depressed that I feel like I have missed the wave of magic in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Still looking for that in hand drawn animation
