Axe the Fuel Tax. Labour want to raise fuel duty - during a cost of living crisis! Hardworking people & families will pay the price. After years without an increase under the @Conservatives, Rachel Reeves is hitting motorists hard. Today the Conservatives will demand a vote.

Addressing a packed @PropertymarkUK conference this morning. @Conservatives will ABOLISH Stamp Duty for primary residences and free up the market to deliver hundreds of thousands more homes. At a stroke it could increase house building by 25%. Lower taxes. More opportunityđŸ‘‡đŸ»

This morning, I’m speaking at @PropertymarkUK setting out the @Conservatives case for abolishing Stamp Duty on homes. Labour are failing our young people. We need to back aspiration and get Britain moving again.

BREAKING: Today’s GDP figures show the economy shrank in April. Cabinet Ministers have said that Labour’s economic plan doesn’t give you ‘confidence’ and that all Labour MPs do is ask ‘who can we tax in order to pay for benefits’ - and now Labour’s Defence Secretary has resigned because Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves cannot make hard choices. Putting Benefits Street first leaves the economy weaker. Only the @Conservatives have a plan to get Britain working again.

John Healey’s resignation tells us two things: 1. Labour’s inability to control spending (especially welfare) means they are unable to properly protect our country. 2. This is a dying government which has lost its ability to function.

When will this magic money tree politics end? Yet another fantasy promise from Reform with nothing on how they would pay for it. Every time they make an announcement the sums simply do not add up. Reform would be a disaster if they ever got near the Treasury.
Farage declares a reform government will increase VAT threshold to £90k to £150k Says face-up cost will be £2bn but will soon ‘begin to pay for itself’

Spot on from @KemiBadenoch in PMQs today. Labour lack the backbone to cut welfare in order to invest in our defence.
A more dangerous world demands serious leadership. But Keir Starmer is paralysed. We must cut welfare spending to fund our defence.

When unemployment is rising for young British workers, this is wrong đŸ‘‡đŸ»
One million young people are now out of education, employment or training. Labour’s Jobs Tax has destroyed opportunities for younger workers. This is the @Conservatives plan to reward work, back aspiration and give young people a fair chance to succeed đŸ‘‡đŸ»

Food inflation is running much higher than general inflation and Labour’s business rate hikes on supermarkets (wrongly masquerading as just an additional tax on online retailers) is a BIG problem. People are feeling Labour’s tax rises directly in their shopping baskets.
‘Those additional costs find their way into the cost-of-living pressure people are facing.’ Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride blasts Labour for their higher taxes on businesses, adding that these costs are passed on as higher commercial prices for customers.

Andy Burnham clearly doesn’t know what the fiscal rules are. He made a big statement that he would stick to them but doesn’t seem to have acquainted himself with what he was committing to. And he wants to be Prime Minister.
"I'm not going to go through... an exam on the fiscal rules." Andy Burnham, Labour candidate in the Makerfield by-election, refuses two times to tell @vicderbyshire what the fiscal rules are, but confirms he'd stick to them if he became prime minister. #Newsnight

Common sense. Clarity. Honesty. No political grandstanding. Proper leadership from @KemiBadenoch
I don’t want to hear about Black Lives Matter. I don’t want to hear about White Lives Matter. Everyone matters. Henry Nowak matters.
