.@ParkForestIL kicked off our #MainStreetNights Wednesday free concert series with a resident appreciation BBQ as well as performances by @Funkadesi & Taylor Djembe. My fellow trustees, including @slonetastic & I donned aprons to serve the residents. Hope to see you next week!

NEW: During GOP conference today, House Rs did about a 15-min fundraising auction for chapstick used by Speaker McCarthy.
The winner: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), whose winning bid was $100,000, her Spox confirms to me.

As my constituents & Americans everywhere brace for a potential default that would severely damage our economy and adversely affect many, this is what the House GOP is up to. Folks spending $100k on used chapstick are disconnected from the hardships a default would cause.

One of the reasons I ran for Village Trustee is to fight not only for the Village of Park Forest but for the south suburban region.
We have been told there is no interest in this airport. This legislation will test that hypothesis, a hypothesis that many of us believe is wrong.

This is great news.
It is time. This is an issue that is important to the south suburban region. We suffer from limited economic development which leads to higher property taxes & that makes it even harder to attract business investment.

As a runner who has become very familiar with the streets of Park Forest I am very aware of how much this work is needed. A number of streets throughout the Village will be repaired between now & Nov. This project will improve our quality of life & provide long term benefits.

Last night I had the honor of being sworn in as @ParkForestIL Village Trustee. I am excited about working with my friend, incoming Mayor Joe Woods and the rest of the Village Board as well as our award winning Village staff.

Campaigning 101: PULL YOUR $IGN$ the next day. Depending on volume & economies of scale signs cost anywhere between $3-$5 per. It’s like leaving $5 bills everywhere.

Park Forest is a special place. It is the place my parents chose in 1974 when they wanted to send my brother, sister & I to better schools. It is the place I returned to in 2014 to assist my parents.
It is a diverse place with active and engaged residents. It is a place I love.
