.@oceanx has wrapped its Timor-Leste mission with new data from coastal habitats that have rarely been studied at this scale. The team gathered imagery for biodiversity analysis, tested SeaSwipe AI at sea, and worked alongside Timorese researchers building national ocean science capacity. Drone and SnotBot technology from @Ocean_Alliance supported the documentation work. More here: bit.ly/4a0TYdc

🌊 @oceanx & Cabo Verde’s Instituto do Mar (IMAR) have completed a groundbreaking mission to create a digital twin of Cabo Verde’s deep sea. Utilizing eDNA, AI, and advanced imaging, this model will guide global ocean protection efforts. This collaboration not only advances scientific understanding but also provides a scalable framework for nations aiming to meet global marine protection targets. 🔗 Read more about this mission and its impact: oceanx.org/press-room/oceanx…

Let's Build a Zoo has officially contributed to real science! Just got back from a Hackathon with @Oceanx aboard OceanXplorer and left a little piece of Let's Build a Zoo on board 🐟🐡🐠 We spent 15 days crossing the entire Indian ocean, focusing on building tools to deepen ocean literacy. With remote help from the Springloaded art team in Singapore, we also set up new pixel art murals to light up OceanXplorer's sub hangar. So now everyone on the ship has something fun and informative to look at whilst they do spectacular ocean science!
