There are a number of challenges in relation to how the Nutrient Action Programme (NAP) Regulations are working in Northern Ireland. We assessed the effectiveness of the regulations (2019), that are aimed at reducing agricultural pollution & improving water quality.
We also made 12 recommendations on how the NAP Regulations should be significantly strengthened & better implemented to help the health of waters, such as Lough Neagh.
