Last year, she was diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare disease that causes abnormal proteins to build up in organs and stop them from working properly. She’s now receiving end-of-life care. Despite everything, she’s lived to meet her first grandson, celebrate her mum’s 80th birthday, and reach another birthday of her own.
