OK. That wasn't tooo bad. Most of today's reports were due to bugs exposed by unique configurations. There were a couple of other issues that might affect some more folks. Hopefully, 2.6.1 will go into a short beta by Friday and become available on the App Store early next week.
Preside 2.6 is finally available on the App Store. This was the biggest release it's ever had and it'll the rearchitecting and conversion to swift is still only half done, but it's out there. Yay!
This is a good article about #email, but I'd definitely recommend fastmail and any paid service over the others. As for the free ones, I recommend Outlook, followed by iCloud and, well, anything other than Gmail. tpc.googlesyndication.com/sa…
Recent changes to gmail servers have cause problems for Preside. We'll be submitting an update that fixes things ASAP. Until then, correct the problem by going to the Advanced settings for your gmail accounts and changing 'Encryption' in the Incoming section to SSL (TLS 1.2)
With the next update, Preside will be removing the "Remote (preside.io servers)" option for monitoring your Inbox due to the imminent shutdown of Context.io, our provider for those services. You can read more about that here: blog.context.io/context-io-d…
Also, if you're having problems with notifications, please try re-saving each of your accounts and set the "Background sync" type to "Assisted iOS Fetch"
