At NAFSA 2026, Qatar Foundation signed study-abroad agreements with three US Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Hampton University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Prairie View A&M University. Supported by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, D.C., the partnerships will open Education City to HBCU students for semester-long experiences, building cross-cultural understanding and deepening academic ties.

خلال مؤتمر ومعرض "نافسا" 2026، أبرمت مؤسسة قطر اتفاقيات للدراسة في الخارج مع ثلاث جامعات وكليات أمريكية تاريخية للسود، هي: جامعة هامبتون في فرجينيا، وجامعة زافيير في لويزيانا، وجامعة برايري فيو إي أند أم. وبدعم من سفارة دولة قطر في واشنطن العاصمة، ستتيح هذه الشراكات لطلاب هذه الجامعات والكليات فرصة الدراسة في المدينة التعليمية لمدة فصل دراسي كامل، بما يعزز التبادل الثقافي ويُعمّق الروابط الأكاديمية.

يتجاوز أثر التعليم في حياة الطلبة إلى ما هو أبعد من التحصيل الأكاديمي، فهو يبني شخصياتهم ويمدهم بالقيم. ومن خلال منهج الأخلاق، يبني الطلبة قيمًا راسخة تُعزز ثقتهم بأنفسهم وبهويتهم، وتمنحهم مهارات تعود عليهم بالنفع طوال حياته.

Education goes beyond what students learn, it shapes who they become. Through the Ethics curriculum, students build strong values, strengthen their character, and develop skills that stay with them far beyond the classroom.

توأمان كبرتا معًا، وتعلّمتا جنبًا إلى جنب، وتقاسمتا الأحلام ذاتها. وفي كل خطوة خطتاها، كان هنالك أبٌ يتابع رحلتهما بعناية ورعاية وفخر. يحتفل بكل إنجاز وكأنه إنجازه هو. وبالطبع، كانت هناك أمٌّ حاضرةٌ بكل حب، تساند وتشجّع وتزرع الثقة في كل خطوةٍ من خطواتهما. واليوم، وبينما تودّعان فصلًا وتبدآن آخر، تبقى بعض اللحظات أكبر من أن تصفها الكلمات.

They grew together, learned together, and dreamed together. At every stage of the journey, there was a father watching with pride, celebrating every milestone as if it were his own, and a mother whose love, support, and encouragement helped shape every step they took. Today, as they close one chapter and begin another, some moments are simply bigger than words.

As @theBAL's first Official Community Partner, Qatar Foundation presented the Ubuntu Trophy – a flagship BAL social impact initiative recognizing players from the league who show outstanding community engagement – to Ariel Koranga, whose social initiative combines basketball with education and empowering women and girls. Safia Al-Naimi, Director of Sports Strategy at QF, presented the award. This collaboration sees Qatar Foundation supporting the league’s social programs and efforts to expand opportunities for people across.
