Brazil delegates visit Sutherland
As part of the program, the team visited Sutherland, a facility of the NRF|SAAO, home to the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT), where they gained a deeper understanding of telescope operations through a tour of the SALT control room.

Through the BRICS collaboration, NRF|SAAO welcomed Brazilian delegation to its Cape Town facility for engagements focused on strengthening partnerships in astronomy, engineering, and research.
We met with Brazilian astronomy group to talk about societal benefits. The gathering was organised by @BRICSAstronomy for @SAAO@AfricaAstronomy & the @Astro4Dev to find collaborative opportunities.

The NRF-SAAO welcomed His Excellency Prabhat Kumar, High Commissioner of India to South Africa, to the Observatory in Cape Town for a symbolic banner handover celebrating the astronomy partnership between India and South Africa. ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฆ

The IUCAA banner will be displayed at the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) in Sutherland, recognising IUCAAโs important role as an international SALT partner and highlighting ongoing scientific collaboration.
