At 1:10 PM today, there was a call about a potential threat at The San Diego Zoo. Officers responded along with the SDPD units working the Zoo. They checked the area as well as surveillance footage for any indication of a suspect. Nothing was located. SDPD has a continual presence at the San Diego Zoo to ensure a safe and fun environment year round. Thank you to our communities for remaining vigilant.

Due to police pursuit activity, I-5 Southbound at Palomar Street will be shut down. This condition is expected to last approximately 2 hours. Please use alternate routes and avoid the area. The suspect has been arrested and there is no longer any threat to the public.
