If energy prices had stayed at 2005 levels, the average worker would earn significantly more today. Output per hour worked would be 39% higher. That is the pay rise that never came, that is the growth that never appeared. Expensive energy doesn't just hit your bill, it kills investment, closes factories, and holds wages down. After privatisation, six energy companies carved up the market between them. They didn't compete to lower your bill, they ran down the infrastructure, paid out dividends, and watched prices climb. Even when a price cap was introduced, bills kept rising. The market had thirty years to work. It didn't.

High energy prices have cost Britain £3 trillion since 2004. That is more than the entire national debt. It has come out of your wages, your public services, your community. Boris Johnson scrapped "British jobs first" rules in 2019. Labour promised change but they kept Johnson's rules. Now they're subsidising foreign hires on top of that. You can't put working people first while fast-tracking everyone else.

Until 1989, one public body was in charge of keeping Britain's lights on. It planned ahead, built power stations before they were needed, and kept prices falling for thirty years. Then the government broke it up and sold it off. They said the market would do it better. Prices have tripled since. You can make your own conclusions.

Over a million young Brits with no job, not in education, not in training. Labour's answer? Pay companies £25,000 to hire from abroad instead. Taxpayer money being used to skip past British graduates. Another bullet point to add to the long list of betrayals.

Vile and barbaric scenes in Belfast last night. A man is now fighting for his life and ordinary members of the public had to step in and risk their own safety to save him. This keeps happening, and every time it does, we're told to stay calm, move on, "don't look back in anger". People are sick of hearing it, I know I am. We just want to be safe on our own streets, but our political class would rather manage the debate than actually protect us.

The heroic actions of the public in Belfast may have saved a life. We hope and pray that the victim survives. But public heroism of this sort is only necessary because our liberal ruling class refuses to see the recklessness of importing violent young men from backward societies.
