As the Biden-Harris Administration finishes its work for the American people, I want to say that it has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your 25th Secretary of @HHSGov.

Today, I presented @HHS_ASH, Admiral Rachel Levine, with the Distinguished Service Medal – the highest award granted to a Public Health Service officer. This is an honor she’s earned through her exceptional contributions and work to strengthen the @usphscc and its 5,600 officers.

In the studio this AM to discuss the 15 new drugs selected for Medicare price negotiations.
Today’s announcement is pivotal – the Inflation Reduction Act is lowering prices for people on Medicare so that they can have access to innovative, life-saving treatments at lower costs.

Last year we proved that negotiating for lower drug prices works.
Now we plan to build on that record by negotiating for lower prices for 15 additional important drugs for seniors.

I was in Pasadena to meet with first responders & help provide food & supplies to members of the community impacted by the fires in Southern California. The Biden-Harris Administration has made it clear: we will offer all the support we can through our very last minute in office.

In the back of my portrait is a picture of my family – because that’s what it takes to get this work done – a family. And all 95,000 people on this HHS team have been like a family to me for these four years.

At today's ceremony, I compared it to the spinning teacups ride I would go on with my daughters, spinning the wheel faster and smiling – because even the hard times are enjoyable when you have a mission. We have delivered on our mission.

Yesterday, we honored the life of former President Jimmy Carter.
There are millions of Americans who have access to mental health support, & millions more around the world who are living healthy, disease-free lives because of the immense contributions of Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter.

As President Carter returns to Plains, Georgia for his final resting place, we say goodbye in the words of the prophet Micah whom Jimmy so admired.
Until his final breath, he did justly, loved mercy, and walked humbly.
