Continuing with the first episode of Surviving Earth (which premiered last Thursday on NBC/Friday on Peacock) here is another look at one of the animals for which I created the concept design. Meet the super cute Elph borealis, a small Late Permian dicynodont

I think Surviving Earth easily wins best Inostrancevia/gorgonopsid in paleomedia. The design is probably the best there is (Gabriel Ugueto making gold as usual), and it was very refreshing to see the variety of behaviors other than the usual hunting.
Last night was the premiere of the first episode of Surviving Earth! I want to share with you snippets of the concept art I did for Inostrancevia

Once again huge thanks to Tim Haines and the entire team at Impossible Pictures for trusting in me for creating the concept art for these species and so many others for the show. Also, special thanks to Tim Haines who allowed me to share some of the concept art with you!

I have been very busy working in many new projects. One of them is a commission that deals with Pleistocene fauna, so I have been sketching and revisiting some old concept sketches of many animals from that time period

This amazing animal was described yesterday in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology by Elliot Armour Smith and Christian Sidor. I was commissioned to create the illustration of this amazing animal that appears in the paper and the press releases tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…

You all know I had to do it. Here is my reconstruction of the newly described Spinosaurus mirabilis, including its magnificent scimitar-shaped head crest
