Margins vanish fast as efficiency drops. At 7:1 FCR you’re barely breaking even—even with $11/kg. Feed efficiency is the cornerstone of feedlot profitability.

Who would have thought you could wear merino in the heat!! One of the many perceptions about wool that the industry needs to change! #softonskin #machinewashable #coolintheheat #noprickle #lightweight #merinoisking
Most of last week was spent in Bangkok. I am Scottish, therefore humidity kills me - but I can definately recommend @steve_noa merino polos for holding up in intense humidity. themerinopolo.com.au/collect…

We're back baby.... take #2 Will we see the same reaction as we saw 6 weeks ago when growers and brokers dragged out as much wool as they could?? Keep offerings under 30/35k we are a good chance of going higher.

As our season cut out, we trained this year’s lambs onto barley ahead of weaning. Adaptation to concentrate feeds stimulates early rumen development, improves feed conversion efficiency, and helps mitigate the growth check often associated with weaning.🌾#Highlandersheep

🐑 Effective Imprint Feeding = Stronger Weaners. Train early! ✅ Feed 100g/ewe every 2nd day ✅ 6 feeds over 2–4 weeks ✅ Aim for >90% of lambs eating ✅ Watch—they should eat, not play! Without training, weaners can take 3 weeks to eat grain. This is fatal for lightweights.

A while a go there were a bunch of activist tweets that only 37 farms in WA were engaged in the Live Export of Sheep. I could not work out where this came from, until today. A DAFF official misspoke. They were only off by a factor of 100.
