@ArsenalVPodcast some thoughts on @Stillberto AVP clips:
1. There isn't really any East vs West allegiance here in the US either. Leagues are just divided into conferences for playoff reasons so a natural line is drawn for all-star game.

2. Agree point on stakes, and that's why the all-star games here struggle. They always look for ways to spice it up, but it's kinda dull. In MLB, winning team used to determine which conference had homefield advantage in World Series. Think they scrapped that.

3. (Don't actually want this to happen but) it would be more fun to see PL All-stars vs La Liga All-stars, etc. To add stakes, maybe a tournament across Uefa federations and winner gets an extra place in Champs league.

Always remember this game. Had to bail on 2nd half due to a work conference. I remember my Blackberry buzzing in my pocket during a meeting as my friends were giving me updates. I sensed a result and wow. Ref robbed us in 2nd leg. Worst call ever!
