Big announcement on the US Premiere of ‘Covenant of Blood!’ 🇺🇸🇵🇱 Yesterday I was honoured to have our film on the Polish anticommunist underground played for the first time outside of Poland at the Liverpool Museum thanks to Cinema Social Club and our partners @britishpoles This film is the first EVER documentary on the brave Polish men and women who refused to stop fighting for Poland’s freedom - long after the Second World War had officially ended. I made it with my friend @StefanTompson and our team of patriotic Poles and it’s now being shown at film festivals around the world. I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes as we watched the film. It’s an extraordinary moment to see months of hard work on screen and I am grateful for the 110 people who came to watch the film- Brits and Poles. Some of the Brits had visited Poland in the 80s or supported Solidarnosc from Liverpool. I haven’t been to Liverpool in 20 years and it was wonderful being back. We had a very interesting discussion about Polish history after the film viewing. Thank you Honorata, Radek and Luiza and the team for hosting me so wonderfully! Pierwszy anglojęzyczny dokument o Żołnierzach Wyklętych został wyprodukowany przez… dwóch Brytyjczyków? Tak, to prawda. Film pt. „Covenant of Blood” został nakręcony przez mnie i @StefanTompson . Jest to pierwszy pełnometrażowy dokument historyczny poświęcony losom polskiego ruchu oporu przeciwko komunistom po 1945 roku. Film został wybrany do prestiżowych festiwali filmowych i w najbliższych miesiącach będzie pokazywany w Austrii, Stanach Zjednoczonych i Wielkiej Brytanii. Brytyjska Premiera odbędzie się 23 maja w Wielkiej Brytanii, w Muzeum Liverpoolu. To, że dopiero w 2026 roku urodzony Brytyjczyj nakręcił pierwszy film dokumentalny o tych polskich bohaterach, wiele mówi o tym, jak Polacy dbają o swoją pamięć narodową.

Jestem absolutnie zachwycony i dumny, że mogę ogłosić, że dokument który nagrałem z @StefanTompson „Covenant of Blood: The Last Soldiers of World War 2” został wybrany na festiwal HISTORY International Film Festival w Austrii! Film trwa 40 minut, jest w języku angielskim i opowiada o jednych z najtragiczniejszych kart polskiej historii – o tym, jak komuniści po 1945 roku torturowali i prześladowali Polaków. Co niesamowite – to pierwszy w historii dokument w języku angielskim podejmujący ten temat. Nie wiem, czy uda nam się wygrać, ale wiem jedno: promujemy polskich bohaterów tak, jak nigdy dotąd nie było to robione.

Filming the final scenes for the first EVER English-language documentary about the Polish anti-communist resistance. I’m producing this film together with my very close friend @StefanTompson Can you believe Poland has NEVER done an English language documentary on this subject? 🤬 Today we filmed the intro with the amazing team at Grupa Historyczna "Zgrupowanie Radosław" who volunteered to appear - many of you will know them from important historical ceremonies in Warsaw and Poland. This documentary has been made possible by more than 480 donations from Poles and Patriots around the world. Thank you ❤️ In the documentary we cover the terrible context Poland found itself in as the Red Army surged on to Berlin. We cover the arrests and persecutions of the Polish Home Army. We tell the stories of the units and the heroes who refused to give up the fight for Polish freedom. We also cover the controversies surrounding the so-called “Cursed Soldiers” This is the most important historical work I have ever done. ❤️🇵🇱❤️

This is communism… A long forgotten torture cell in an anonymous tenement building in Warsaw, Poland Where thousands were tortured, beaten and mutilated for their desire for democracy and freedom. Including children and teenagers. Together with @StefanTompson I’m making the first EVER documentary on the brave fight of young Poles for freedom after 1945. The stories have been buried for decades.. … until now.

More Poles returned to to Poland from Germany than emigrated from Poland to Germany in 2024! The trend is broader and also concerns other CEE countries, but given the demographic challenges this is good news for Poland! Source: German Statistical Office
