Exactly 1 year ago I started streaming my gamedev process as a way to keep motivated, get feedback, and do minor marketing. Exactly 1 year later we hit 1k followers. I can't thank the community enough for keeping me going. 🤗🤗 Also 2 days until demo launch!!!

10 days until the Alpine Lake demo is released. It's a game about building and running an inn. Almost 4 years in the making, and the demo is only the beginning!

Replying to @Twitch
Any time a feature launches that modifies the broadcast experience it needs to come with a toggle to enable or disable it. Larger streams are unwatchable unless the streamer edits these to be super expensive or have a long cooldown. Having no toggle on this is wild.

Do you believe that science is for everyone? Lita and Balint have submitted an application for an interactive science experiment at @TwitchCon! We hope to show that @Twitch is the BEST location for all types of #scicomm and it would be a dream to bring this to life at TC24!

This month's mechanic is... Special Platforms: Slopes and Loops! mechanicallychallenged.org/ The Sonic series made great use of special platforms to create twisting, winding, and fast paced levels! This included sloped platforms that allowed the player to accelerate while moving down and fight gravity while moving upward. Probably more iconic are the loops that Sonic uses to create a sense of movement and speed! This month, you are challenged to write an implementation for sloped platforms, looping platforms, or both! Both 2D and 3D submissions are welcome! Additionally, it is up to you how you choose to implement this mechanic. However, entries that focus on simplicity, modularity, and code reuse are more likely to win an Educational Mechanic prize!
