This thread is only a fraction of what I've seen & what people told me in Sagaing, Myanmar. If any editors would be interested in any stories about Sagaing, the people, fighters, refugees, war crimes, drone units etc, or if anyone know of any editors who might, my DMs are open!
I have just come back Myanmar 🇲🇲 where I spent two weeks traveling around the resistance-held territories of the Sagaing region. Its a remote region which no other foreign press has managed to visit since the start of the war five years ago. I'll share some impressions below 🧵

So let me paint you a picture of the coming weeks: -Trump will call Putin, tell media a peace deal is very close -terms of peace deal turn out to be unacceptable for Ukraine -everybody panics, meanwhile Trump moves military forces to the Caribbean, nobody notices. -Zelensky rushes to European allies for crisis meeting -Americans push through on deal, Vance will make backhand comment about Ukraine for being "non-cooperative" or "ungrateful" -Television studios will broadcast back-to-back coverage of potential peace deal, round table discussions, live White House correspondents. -American troop build-up in Caribbean remains unnoticed, media prefers to cover comments from the Oval Office over massive troop movements. Until at last sometime by the end of summer: -Trump bombs Cuba, everyone surprised -Talking heads on TV: 'nobody saw this coming' -peace deal with Russia never mentioned again -repeat again sometime in the fall.
It is always important to coordinate positions. ____ Завжди важливо координувати позиції. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

This has happened like four or five times already. You'd think after Venezuela and Iran our media would have figured out by now but clearly they haven't. Say about Trump what you will but sometimes he does know how to play everyone on here and in the media like a fucking fiddle

It did turn out to be in our lifetime. 🇸🇾🇸🇾🇸🇾
Hopefully it will be in our lifetime that the same flag is raised over the presidential palace in Damascus.

Moving around the frontlines of Myanmar 🇲🇲 during the rainy season is definitely a challenge.
