If true, it’s a dangerous precedent & harmful to the fighters to have an unassigned non-commission promoter- employed physician step in to overrule an assigned commission physician. It enables promoter to interfere with the bout outcome. #fightersafety
The purpose of the weigh-in is to make certain the fighters are healthy prior to fight night. If they’re vomiting & ataxic (unsteady gait) for whatever reason it’s something requiring immediate evaluation by the ring physicians. #MMA#safetyfirst

Even without complaints, an immediate post fight head CT is necessary when a fighter has taken significant punishment. True for the winner as much as the loser.
Everyone likes to see the corner step in, but it is why there is a referee & doctors. If a ref brings the fighter to the physician at the start or during the round— there is a reason ! #comebackanotherday
