NYS Senator Rob Rolison presented Fishkill Elementary School teacher Flip Gertler with the NYS Senate “Educators Inspiring a Generation” award; it is given to teachers that go above and beyond for their students, thus shaping future generations. Senator Rolison spoke about the powerful impact that teachers have, and his immense gratitude for their important work. Mr. Gertler was nominated by WCSD superintendent Dr. Dwight Bonk, who noted that he had personally witnessed the integral role that Mr. Gertler plays in motivating and inspiring his students.
