*On April 29, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Louisiana’s congressional map and ordered districts to be redrawn.
In response, Governor Landry issued an executive order to postpone congressional primaries until later this summer. The election date is still TBD.
The Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callais decision paved the way for states to attack Black voters across the country.
Over the last two weeks, states have done exactly that — including Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.
