As of April 1, the former Ridge Meadows RCMP Detachment has officially transitioned to two autonomous detachments.
Maple Ridge now has a dedicated RCMP presence focused solely on meeting the needs of our community

“Maple Ridge congratulates the City of Pitt Meadows as they move forward independently with their own RCMP detachment. With the transition now complete, Maple Ridge moves forward with a dedicated Maple Ridge RCMP presence focused on the needs of our community, and residents can be assured they will continue to receive the same high standard of professional policing services. We thank the officers and staff for their ongoing hard work, professionalism, and commitment to keeping Maple Ridge safe,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy.
This transition from a shared policing model has been a multi-year initiative, developed in close collaboration with municipal partners, the Province of BC and the RCMP. Since approval of the de-integration in 2021, extensive planning, risk assessment and validation have ensured both detachments are fully operational and equipped to deliver effective policing services aligned with their respective Police Service Agreements.
There are no changes to the Maple Ridge RCMP location or contact information.
