Congratulations to Collin Richards who won our duffel bag of STEM goodies by participating in STEMFest last week! Collin is an incoming honors engineering major from Hermitage, PA. Welcome, Collin, and good luck in your first semester at YSU!
YSU welcomed its largest class of incoming international students EVER! Of those students, over 200 of them are incoming STEM majors. We welcomed these students at a special International STEM Orientation on Friday, August 26th. #ysuSTEMguins #YandProud #YSUSTEM

We welcomed our new STEMguins at STEMFest yesterday! The students learned about our STEM student organizations, met faculty and made new friends! We ended with a watermelon explosion. Looking forward to another great semester π§ π

Our very own Dr. Patrick Durrell gave a new public presentation "First Images from the James Webb Space Telescope" to the Columbiana Cultural Collective in downtown Columbiana, a talk highlighting the stunning images that are now coming from this new space observatory. π π

The YSU Rocket Club competed in the 2022 Spaceport America Cup in New Mexico - the world's largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference & competition! The team made up Mechanical Engineering students launched their first ever competition rocket named "Peng-One." ππ§
