👀 The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao caused parts of the seabed to rise by as much as 2 metres and the coastline has reportedly moved out by around 200 metres.
The sudden uplift has exposed coral reefs, seagrass and marine habitats, leaving sea life stranded and causing damage to the underwater ecosystem. Officials found exposed coral and dead marine animals along affected areas.
It’s incredible to think about the force needed to physically lift the seabed out of the ocean like this.

I loaded #Synduality up here recently... I had some good "initial matches"... but then the RNG gods just smited the fuck out of me with cheap deaths... & I lost SO MUCH.. so quickly. It's very MENTALLY painful. B/c I realize "Hey real time was just lost"...

It is a Item management system, DRESSED UP, as a game.
Like, you spend more time, hunting for crap, to build your base/build weapons/build mechs... than actually GAMING.. 😂😭

One monkey builds a farm that feeds 100 monkeys. This farm becomes worth 10,000 bananas a year. The 100 stupid monkeys are mad that the other monkey has such a valuable farm. They kill the monkey running the farm and steal and eat all of the bananas on the trees. They have no idea how to run the farm.
The following year the 100 monkeys starve to death. The last monkey, before dying, curses the monkey who built the farm.

I have a nice old neighbor that a while back lost his wife, then a short time later develop a blood clot and lost his right leg from the knee down. This made it difficult for him to do the two things he loves to do and that’s taking his fishing boat out to the lake and to drive his riding lawnmower around his big yard to cut the grass. The problem with launching his boat is he had to get his prosthetic leg into the water and it wasn’t supposed to be in the water. And the problem with his lawnmower is he had a hard time getting on and off of it with nothing to hold onto. So I built a removable ramp on the side of his trailer and he’s now able to launch his boat without getting his leg in the water. And to solve the lawnmower problem I fabricated a front hold handle for him to grab when he gets on and off of it. He is now a happy fisherman again and also able to cut his grass without help from anyone. Life is good.
