We're aware of some issues with the new launcher, and they pertain to Mac users. We've identified the cause: your Mac needs to compile shaders locally on the first launch, which can result in a black screen for up to a minute or two. This is a one-time thing. Once cached, you won't hit it again. If you're experiencing this: Let the build sit. It will load. Give it a couple minutes even if the screen stays black. If waiting doesn't resolve it: Send us your log file so we can dig in. You can find it here: ~/Library/Containers/io.msquared.M2DevelopmentClient/Data/Library/Logs/M2Development.log What we're doing about it: We're working on precompiling shaders and baking them into the build so this doesn't happen going forward. We're also adding a loading indicator so you're not just staring into the void wondering if something broke. Appreciate everyone flagging this. More updates soon.
